The outpatient Health Center and Dental Clinic at Fort Thompson, South Dakota, is staffed by two physicians. Emergency patients are seen after hours and on weekends at Mid-Dakota Hospital in Chamberlain, South Dakota.  Inpatient care is contracted to area hospitals, the closest being Mid-Dakota located 26 miles south of Fort Thompson.
